Below you will find the minimum requirements to become a member of the department (either Fire or Rescue). In the box on the right, is a PDF document that you can download, fill out, and then drop it off at the station!

• Citizen of the United States
• Be of high moral character
• 21 years of age or older
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Live within the two mile zoning district of the City of Plattsmouth

Exceptions

For Rescue:
A waiver may be granted to a person who does not live within the City Limits if they meet the following requirement:

• If you work within the city limits of Plattsmouth and your employer will release you for day calls, you can apply.

For Fire:

• The applicant must be a resident of the City of Plattsmouth for at least six (6) months.
